David Doubilet, one of the world’s premier underwater photographers, has shot primarily for NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC since 1971. Doubilet’s more than 40 assignments for the magazine have propelled him from the Red Sea to the Great Barrier Reef of Australia, from Japan’s Suruga Bay to Monterey Bay in California. The consummate artist, Doubilet also writes most elegantly about the moods and magic of this underwater world.

This looks nutty, but actually makes sense.

Neal Adams (famed comic book artist) has long said the Pangaea theory–this notion that all of the continents were once joined together in a “supercontinent” hanging out on one side of the planet–makes no sense. The planet would be too imbalanced if all the landmass was on one side, and the water from the other side would rush towards the land, balancing it out.

Adams’ theory is that the Earth is growing, and that all of the continents were in fact connected–but in their present positions, because the planet was smaller! Check out the CG animation of what he’s talking about:

In the gallery below, you’ll find the full brochure for the 2009 Dodge Challenger, and yeah, there’s some good stuff to be found in there. We’re particularly fond of the R/T Classic package (above), which gets a coat of B5 Blue, 20″ torq-thrust lookalikes, T/A-style stripes, and the old-school script Challenger badge on the front fender. Unfortunately, while Chrysler was cooking up the retro badging, they neglected to order up some nouveau Fratzogs to really finish off the look, so the Ram-head shield sits on the hood, instead. Too bad. As for the rest of the car? Badass. There are some pretty cool stripe and wheel options to be had regardless of trim level, plus what’s sure to be a bevy of aftermarket parts from Mopar and other third parties. Finally, Chrysler’s offering a factory R/T Track Pack that, in its most aggressive form, combines the 6-speed Tremec with 20″ wheels and a 3.91 rear axle ratio. Bring money for tires. Ford is the king of leveraging its heritage to keep the Mustang interesting. Chrysler has a shot at doing the same thing here with the Challenger. From the looks of things, it’s off to a good start. Here, Michelle is just doing her best impersonation of Pamela Anderson during her Baywatch days. Blonde? Check. Red bikini? Check. Unfortunate arm tattoo? Check. Prolonged exposure to the sun causing premature aging of the skin? Double check, baby.

Back in March we dropped the news that the Air Jordan Retro 3 (III) Black / Cement Grey would release again, but apart of the Jordan 3 - Jordan 20 Countdown Pack. For those that are wondering what they will look like, wait no more, the pair pictured is the Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro Countdown Pack.

Although multiple angles are not available yet, we can tell the materials used are true to the Air Jordan 3 (III) Retro Black / Cement with the premium leather uppers. Sadly, we do not have a picture of the heel yet, but it will be the Jumpman logo. Releasing this October, via Marqueesole.

In shocking news of the day, Lindsay Lohan has a secret sister. And I don’t mean “sista”. I mean biological sister. Lindsay’s father, Michael, told OK! that while married, but separated, he carried on a relationship with another woman who had a child. This woman convinced Michael that only he could be the father. The girl’s mother, figuring this is the most opportune time to strike, has told Michael to take responsibility (monetarily).

Moving forward with her reality show obligations, Paris Hilton, along with sister Nicky, enjoyed a day of shopping in Hollywood with the winners of a competition from “My New BFF”.

The heiress sisters headed over to Robertson Boulevard after dining at The Ivy in Los Angeles - visiting Paige Denim before leaving with several bags of goodies as Paris exclaimed, “I love this!” to her handbag designer sister.
